Hi there! I’m Angie, and I’m so glad you’re here! I guess you’re reading this because you’d like to learn a little bit about me…I’m a Registered Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer by trade, and have a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness. I’m also a Certified Health Coach, Wellness Advocate for doTerra Essential Oils, and Mom of two.
I’ve always been interested in health, fitness, and overall wellness, but after having my babies, I became very passionate about it. I was determined to do whatever it takes to keep them healthy in this world full of fake food, toxins, and violent video games. There are so many challenges that we face as Moms, and that’s why I’m here, to help you navigate through some of these challenges.
As a Health Coach, I’m making it my priority to give busy moms, like you, simple ideas and tools that you need to make the best choices for your family’s overall health and wellness. I like to make it all very simple, fun, and motivating, so everyone who reads my blog, or leaves my sessions will feel empowered and confident in their family’s health journey!
What is a Metronome and why did I name my business after one?
For those of you who don’t know what a metronome is, it is “a device used by musicians that marks time at a selected rate by giving a regular tick”.
When I chose the name for my business, I thought of a metronome and how nice it would be for life’s pace to go along with a metronome, and have a set tempo or “regular tick”. My life at the time, was not what I envisioned for me or my family. I was working full time, in the healthcare industry, and had been for 17 long years. I was feeling burned out and depressed.
Being around sick people every day, seeing the repercussions of not taking care of oneself, having managers and co-workers that were unhappy and negative, really took a toll on me mentally and physically, which in turn took a toll on my family. I was craving change and more positivity in my life. That’s when, I decided to take a leap of faith, and start a health coaching business, and so I called it Metronome Wellness – Tempo for Life!
The tempo of our lives might be fast at times, or slow, accepting that, and learning to adapt and stay positive through the changes, is my goal for you. There are a lot of things in life out of our control, but our health and the health of our children is something that we can play a big role in shaping now and the future.
